|MOON IN THE SIGNS||MOON IN THE HOUSES|
Since ancient times the moon has been seen as the great regulator of life, in the earliest cases even of fate. The connection to the menstruation cycle, the tides, vegetation, animals’ behavior patterns, etc was too apparent to ignore. The moon’s alleged effect on the human psyche garnered enough credibility to form the cases of words like lunacy and lunatic. The moon represents our emotional needs, the home, the mother and women in general.
In acting out the life’s purpose, the effect of the moon can make the native erratic, moody, reactive, or unstable. Our emotional nature fluctuates readily with the revolution of the moon, as the human body is almost seventy percent water. We become subject to our own emotional whims and desires, and when coupled with the egotistical sun, it can lead to self delusion, martyring, emotional discontent, and other distractions from our true purpose.
What the moon shows is which emotional needs we must master in order to remain neutral internally. This way we remain focused on our goal and avoid getting swept away by emotional turbulence; we become balanced. This is not to say that our emotions are without merit. The skills we learn from our past emotional hangups or victories are vital to living our best lives forward.
